Annual: Our chapter began to sell holiday pecans in November, 2008. Initially the funds were for high school student scholarships. Now the money provides min-grants for classroom teachers.
Ongoing: Beta Upsilon works with The Ronald McDonald House in various ways. We collect can pull tabs for their funding. At our December 2017 meeting, we brought games and craft items for the children who are staying at the House.
Members are collecting gently used men's ties for the Men of Valor program at Madison Middle School.
Fall of 2017 - Members cut fabric and worked with a local organization to lend a hand to women in under-developed countries to provide sanitary items.
During 2011 -- 2012 our chapter made little dresses for girls in Africa so they could attend school.
In Celebration of the 75th year of Delta Kappa Gamma, Beta Upsilon members collected 75 books and stuffed animal characters. These were presented to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital for Christmas in July.
Beta Upsilon members donate funds to Governor's Books from Birth Foundation. Children from birth to age five are eligible to receive books for free.
Children's International Education Center collections in the Nashville area are once again being made available to teachers. Through the efforts of Beta Upsilon members, these teaching tools can be found at the downtown Nashville Public Library.
in June 2005, Beta Upsilon Members went and cooked dinner for the children and their families at the Ronald McDonald House in Nashville.
Beta Upsilon choses a women's group home to shower the residents with Christmas gifts. Brightly colored sweat suits, hats, gloves, toiletries, and household items were shared with them.
World Fellowship is a yearly activity Beta Upsilon celebrates by having a silent auction. Everyone has fun, takes home unique items, and raises funds to further the Delta Kappa Gamma project.
